Residents have been enjoying making fabric bags and cushion covers at our Thread, Needles and Life Skills sessions at The Orchard – all in 1 hour!
These sessions are aimed at anyone who wants to have a go at using a fabric to make something for their home.
The session is run by Feed My Creative and are running these sessions every Monday from 6.00pm -7.30 pm at The Orchard until the end of July 2016.
Janet from Feed My Creative, who is a teacher by day said, “I just want to give every young person a chance to explore their creative side, in a fun environment. It’s amazing what you can make with some fabric – once you have learned some basic skills. You can create some wonderful, unique and individual pieces for your home or yourself”.
Learning how to sew takes, patience and a keen eye for creativity so if you think that you have these two key skills come and take part whilst they are still available.
You could make new friends, find a new hobby but more importantly you could have lots of fun creating new pieces for your wardrobe or for your home.
