Role: Apprenticeships Assessor

Location: Erdington, Birmingham

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

Are you seeking a purposeful role which offers a challenge and an opportunity to make a real difference?  YMCA Birmingham are a progressive, modern, customer focussed charity that operates social enterprises which combine commercial thinking with social purpose, and we are excited to introduce an outstanding opportunity to oversee our apprenticeship training delivery. Our commercial training activity has been delivering City & Guilds, ILM and CIH qualifications to external customers since 2012 and we are an approved apprenticeship provider for the new apprenticeships standards.  Our customers currently include local authorities, higher education organisations and housing associations, and we have ambitious plans to extend into the private sector.

In this varied and autonomous role, we are looking for a self-starter with experience as an assessor for apprenticeship programmes. This post will be our assessor for business administration and customer services apprenticeships as well as functional skills delivery, so experience in these areas is essential. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate experience in overseeing and maintaining learner tracking systems, delivering excellent learner progression and ensuring quality service delivery, and have an understanding of online learner systems, ideally (but not essentially) OneFile.
