Here at YMCA Birmingham we understand that providing secure and comfortable accommodation is an essential part of a healthy and thriving compassionate community. Starting with a safe place to live, our one-to-one support aims to empower and encourage young people in preparation for more independent living, enabling them to sustain independence and contribute to their communities.
We manage a number of sites across the city, working in partnership with other housing associations and agencies where appropriate.
We know that people’s needs vary at different points in their lives, that’s why we provide a range of types of accommodation – emergency accommodation for people experiencing a crisis; supported accommodation, for those who could benefit from a bit of extra support; and ‘move on’ accommodation for those people who need an affordable flat, but are capable of living independently.
